Each year, I find that my clients become more willing to try something new. I often suggest sunrise and sunset as options for engagement sessions, but Sarah and Alex were one of the first couples to actually take me up on the challenge of waking up before dawn. I was especially excited that their fall session coincided with a nearly-full moon that was setting just as the sun was rising. These two braved freezing morning temperatures to help me capture their love in these photos on Northwestern University’s campus in Evanston. Here’s to hoping for equally gorgeous skies for their Chicago wedding next April!
This autumn proved to be one of my favorites in recent years because the leaves seemed to stay on the trees a bit longer. So many of my engagement sessions had plentiful sunshine, and it’s made me one happy photographer. The afternoon I photographed Kristine and Mike at Fort Tryon Park in NYC was no exception. I had so much fun with these two! Now, I simply can’t wait for their wedding next summer.
Erika and Liam were lucky to have one of the best fall weather days of this season. The color and light during their outdoor wedding ceremony at The Tuxedo Club in New York was nothing short of magical.

Photographing a surprise proposal just might be more nerve-racking than photographing a wedding! I am so thrilled that Luke asked me to be there to capture these photos of the amazing moment when he proposed to Amanda.
