Rebecca + Chris | Chicago Art Institute Engagement Session

Not only did I have the pleasure of spending a perfect spring afternoon with Rebecca and Chris, but I also got to meet their dog, Bear! We divided our time between the gardens of the Art Institute of Chicago, Millennium Park, and the Lurie Garden. What a treat when a couple brings their dog to their engagement session!

Kate + Ryan | New Leaf Chicago Wedding Photos

These two made my job so easy. From our very first meeting, I saw a fantastic wedding coming together with a classic vision that really emanated Chicago style. They chose to begin the day getting ready at Public Hotel Chicago, where they were lucky enough to do their first look outdoors on the 17th floor balcony with an incredible view of Chicago’s skyline. After some wedding party portraits downtown near the LaSalle and Kinzie Street bridges, they made their way to the ceremony and reception in the gorgeous space at A New Leaf. Their confident planning and vendor choices made for a perfect day. I just adored the way they relaxed, laughed and enjoyed themselves.

Kelly + Pete | A Joyful Tangerine and Yellow Wedding

I knew from their engagement session that Kelly and Pete’s wedding day would be full of laughter. It also came complete with abundant sunshine, and after their emotional first look, we spent some time traipsing around The Morton Arboretum for wedding pictures. Kelly’s tangerine-mango, pale yellow, green and ivory bouquet set the tone for the day quite well. Who wouldn’t smile when surrounded by such happy colors, not to mention the couple’s closest family and friends? Kelly and Pete share a passion for caring for the eyesight of others, and you could tell that their caring nature extended to the personal touches of their wedding. I loved seeing their guests have such a wonderful time!

Carol + Matt | MCA Chicago Engagement Session

Carol and Matt’s MCA engagement session really brought together my love for both modern and classic styles in photography. They were so at ease in each other’s arms, dancing through the MCA and surrounding parks, that it’s hard to believe they’re not professional models. Carol planned their outfits in a classic Parisian-chic-inspired look which came through perfectly in this shoot!
