Hello there! I’m Chicago wedding photographer Sarah Postma. And this is my blog.

I have a simple philosophy: to make photographs that are interesting, meaningful and real.

I enjoy movies with happy endings, fresh-brewed coffee, and live jazz. I love to travel, and I love city lights almost as much as I love mountains.

After living most my life in Michigan, Washington, and New Jersey (just outside of NYC), I now reside in Chicago. I'm currently accepting wedding commissions throughout the United States and other destinations.

If you’re still thinking about booking me for your 2009 wedding, don’t wait much longer. You can still get in on my May 08 Promotional Pricing if you book before July 31, 2008. My move from Washington to New Jersey has been a good one and I’ve now been here for five months … hard to believe!

Bye, bye Blogger.

Blogger had a good run, but one can only handle so many image upload errors. How am I supposed to have a photoblog when I get errors every time I post photos?

Ok, so I’m going to do what everyone says not to do … I’m going to delete my Blogger blog after I have this new one all up and running. Hey, I’ve transferred all my old posts here anyway! And all you folks worried about my SEO (search engine optimization) can just settle down because I don’t think anyone read my old blog anyway!! Actually, I had zero trackbacks and zeros comments. So, yeah, goodbye old blog, hello new! I now promise to post more than once every two months. That’s certainly what kept me from any readership before, I know! :)

Happy New Year! – News!

In the new year, I have news to share of my relocation to New Jersey. My husband has accepted a really great job offer, and I’ll be moving my business to NJ this month.

I’m still only a call or e-mail away for any last minute orders or questions. And for my Washington customers, my current phone number – (360) 306-5668 – will remain available to you as a local call for the next year. My brand new New Jersey phone number is (201) 289-2777. Take your pick; they both ring through to the same phone!

I am excited to take this step in my life and business, and I wish you all the best in the coming year.
