Erica & Mike - Engagement Session

Well, I have to hand it to these guys. They braved 90+ degree weather during their engagement session … and looked good doing it! With lots of water breaks and a pause for air-conditioning and drinks at the Soho Grand Hotel, we made it through the afternoon.

We began the shoot at the spot where the two first met. Mike, the guitarist for indie-progressive-rock group Near Forever, was playing at the Knitting Factory one night, and Erica accompanied a “groupie” friend of hers to the show. Music brought them together, and sparks flew. Now, tons of shows later and a Warped Tour under their belt, the two are planning their October 11 wedding.

Here is just a taste of the e-session images captured last weekend. I can’t wait to shoot the wedding!

^ True love: courtesy of the Knitting Factory.

^ Mike actually told me he loved “serious” photos right before this one was shot. :) Well, we’ll get to those.

^ Erica. Absolutely stunning.

^ A little more serious for you, Mike.

^ But, really, Mike can’t stay serious for long. He had Erica laughing all afternoon.

^ Sign of a good relationship: you laugh at eachother’s jokes!

Thanks again for an awesome e-session guys! Enjoy this preview.

Jana & Joel - Married!

Jana and Joel were married this past Friday at the One &Only Westmount Country Club. What an amazingly beautiful day; a cool 75 degrees just before the heat wave later in the weekend. Jana’s choices of colors and flowers were incredible, and the Westmount proved to be the perfect venue for a flawless celebration.

Enjoy this preview of some photos that caught my eye!

^ As I said … incredible colors!

^ I love tiaras! Every bride deserves to be a princess on her wedding day.

^ Nothing beats the look of true love on a groom’s face.

Rob & Elsbeth’s Wedding and a visit to Michigan

Here are a few shots I got as a true “guest” of our friends’ Rob and Elsbeth’s wedding on May 30. It was really fun to be seated in the crowd and get to watch the local photographers that they hired to do their wedding. They were Canon girls too, which I love. And it was so great to visit with friends and family for the short 48 hours we were back in Michigan!

^ Brothers!

^ I love the look on Elsbeth’s face.

^ The cake tasted as amazing as it looked.

^ Toasting to the lovely couple.

^ Sparkler mania.
