Erica and Mike - 10/11/08

You may remember Erica and Mike from their engagement back in June. Well, they’re hitched! Erica’s sweet smile is still as bright as ever, and Mike is still so very good at making her laugh. This wedding was such a blast!

Here are just a few of my favorites for a sneak peak into their day!

^ I’m not usually one for lots of extra Photoshop embellishments, but this couch and this shot were just asking for some glowy, chrome effect! Erica, you’re lookin’ hot!

^ The “First Look.” No crying just yet … only kisses! ;-)

^ Isn’t she beautiful?!

^ I love, love, love having a bit of time before the ceremony to make romantic portraits like this one!

^ Mike is always making Erica smile.

^ Under the columns of the entrance at the Women’s Club of Glen Ridge. A stellar spot for a reception.

^ The ladies!

^ The ceremony at Park United Methodist was just so romantic.

^ What a perfect kiss! This officiant was so kind and obviously attune to what makes a great ceremony kiss picture!

^ How about some bubbles?

^ Erica’s mom was such a star … she completely surprised these two with a horse and carriage to carry them away from the church!

^ Up on my tip-toes for this one, but I just had to get all the cameras in the bottom corner!

^ Every detail was perfect. Each table had a unique candle centerpiece and all were so intricate and glowing beautifully. And what’s more, Erica and her mom can take the credit for the amazing decorating!

^ See those flowers on the top? They’re really made out of sugar. I’m always floored by cake decorators with this talent!

^ The first dance.

^ This photo was taken earlier in the day, but it’s such a fun dancing shot, I had to include it here.

^ And the dancing went on into the night with tunes by Epic Total Entertainment. Just a splendid reception!

Erica and Mike, thank you again for allowing me to be a part of your perfect day!

Ashley & Adam - 09/06/2008

I realize when my days get busier I find less time to blog. I’m not going to babble about why, folks. :) So, without further ado, here are two fun posts! This one full of beauty in the midst a really rainy day. And check back soon for another post starring the changing colors of fall.

I watched the weather anxiously as Ashley and Adam’s day approached. “Ninety percent chance of rain on Saturday,” was the refrain day after day. I dug a bit deeper to see why this might be. The answer? Tropical Storm Hannah. Or, remnants of the storm passing over the eastern seaboard. Apparently this was a day for umbrellas! Let’s face it. Every year, quite a few couples have rainy wedding days. But not many can claim that they braved a tropical storm for their nuptials. Ashley and Adam, you can!

^ The blustery winds begin!! Just a sprinkle of rain before the ceremony, but we can’t let the bride get wet!

^ The church was so beautiful … modern, yet so classic with the organ pipes. I love it.

^ I love the tender smile on Adam’s face.

^ What a kiss!

^ And then the rain really began!

^ No worries, though … Ashley brought her rain boots. ;-)

^ We still managed to get some “album cover” shots like Adam wanted inside of the Olde Mill Inn. Rain, shmain!

^ Tender looks from the groom again …

^ These roses were incredible!

^ Let the dancing begin!

^ And then, the lights went out. Really! Hannah brought rain and power outages. But the party still went on! Kudos to the folks at Olde Mill Inn for pulling off a reception with a couple of generators and great candle light.

^ A gorgeous couple and a gorgeous wedding. It was so fun to be a part of!
