Tori + DJ | A Brookdale Park Wedding in New Jersey

Tori and DJ have the kind of connection that I admire. A true devotion to one another, and a deep sense of the monumental nature of a wedding. I first witnessed their love at their engagement session, and I could tell that it was special. See, they’ve been waiting a long time for this moment. They had faith that it would come. So, it’s evident that their strong faith and devotion will allow their love to last a lifetime.

Tori’s wedding details really stood out to me. Not only did all of the colors coordinate well, but almost everything was DIY. Tori either made it herself or found it online through independent artists on Etsy. Oh, and yellow is my favorite color, so that helped too. :) Enjoy these photos!

Her vintage birdcage veil and floral headpiece from Distinctive Veils and Accessories were so delicate and beautiful!

And her Maggie Sottero dress seemed as if it was made for her.

I seriously love the way navy blue and yellow complement each other. The bridesmaids dresses and bouquets were show-stopping.

The ceremony began beautifully with Tori’s mother escorting her down the aisle from the midst of the rose garden.

It was just a perfect day! The clouds were rolling by with a surprise rain drop here and there, but overall, the sun shone brightly on their ceremony.

For a unity commemoration during their ceremony, they poured salt from two jars into one. I’ve seen candles, sand, and wine in unity ceremonies before, so the salt was a really cool new-to-me tradition.

Married!

The back of Tori’s dress was just fabulous, and how about the flower girl’s beautiful bow? Love!

We took a few minutes to make some wedding pictures in the rose garden. I thought it was the perfect setting for their vintage look!

We continued with more wedding photos of the bridal party and the couple at nearby Kingsland Park. They really couldn’t have been a more perfect bridal party.

And Tori and DJ couldn’t have been a more perfect couple!

Tori and her friends and family had personally decorated the tables the day before with all of the place cards, menus, table numbers, candles and sweet little bird centerpieces. Truly DIY, and truly gorgeous! I also adored the light, spirited floral centerpieces - again the yellow is so fun!

OK, I love this guy’s tie! And I always love a little air guitar. DJ really knew how to tear up the dance floor, too.

All of their guests had a blast in the photo booth they had rented. Check it out - I even got in the booth with Tori and DJ!

And a final DIY detail that I thought was really great - as soon as guests’ photos were printed from the photo booth, they were able to paste them onto scrapbook pages and write a note to the couple. What an awesome guest book! I love this idea.

Tori and DJ, you are an amazing couple and I am so thankful that you chose me to photograph your wedding. Thank you for your great example of love and devotion in marriage and for being so much fun to be around!
