Neha & Joe - A Central Park Engagement Session

As luck would have it, Neha and Joe chose the most perfect spring day we’ve had yet in the New York metro area for their engagement photos. Were you in NYC last Sunday? It was amazing! We certainly had to battle crowds in Central Park, but it was all worth it for these images.

It may have taken them a little while to warm up to photos, but check out this giggle by the daffodils. (Like many couples say to me before their engagement session, they had this silly notion that they don’t look good in pictures.) Uh huh, yeah sure.

Incredibly beautiful, no?

I love how in these two images you’d have thought we had the park to ourselves. How about some dancing?!

But the crowds really were there, as you can see in this image:

And I just loooooved this spot. The buds on this weeping willow tree absolutely sparkled, so Neha and Joe took this opportunity to sparkle themselves.

Neha and Joe, I can’t wait to shoot your wedding in June!

Season and Chris - 08.08.08

Love the repetition of dates … last year’s 07/07/07 wedding was a precursor to this year’s 08/08/08. Will there be a 09/09/09? I’m guessing not; it’s a Wednesday. But I’m up for it if someone is!

Here are a few gems from the wedding of Season and Chris. Enjoy!

They were married at Church of our Saviour in Secaucus, NJ. What a sweet little space for an intimate wedding ceremony …

Loved the color in the bridesmaids’ bouquets …

After a quick thunderstorm between ceremony and family portrait time, we caught this sweet light at Frank Sinatra Park in Hoboken. Love it!!

Dad and daughter. So sweet …

Folks, you just never know what a groomsman might do at a wedding reception …

Congratulations again, Season & Chris!

Stephanie & Rick - Married!

Beautiful day, beautiful couple! Totally in love and it shows. They call each other ‘buddy’; incredibly cute! Rick and Stephanie were married back on July 12 at Ascension Church in Bradley Beach, NJ. The ceremony was followed by an excellent reception at Crystal Point Yacht Club. Here are a couple cute ones to share.

Jeanne & Neil - Married!

This was a couple that seemed to have control over the rain. Although dark clouds and sunshine kept changing hands all afternoon, the skies held back just enough for their guests to enter safely into the chapel for the ceremony. A short rain shower later (really, only during the ceremony when everyone was dry and indoors!) Jeanne and Neil were married and the sun shone again! Perfect timing.

When I first heard about the Chapel at the College of St. Elizabeth, I was reminded of my own wedding which took place on the campus of my alma mater. With my vision of a “chapel” in my head, I was so amazed when I walked up to this one! And with that, here are a few of my favorites from Jeanne and Neil’s wedding this past Sunday.

^ The Holy Family Chapel at St. Elizabeth’s. Talk about breath-taking!

^ And then you walk in … wow.

^ Jeanne couldn’t stop smiling through the entire ceremony. So awesome.

^ Jeanne’s mom was a smiler too. :)

^ The happy couple and their getaway car.

^ I love, love, love hydrangeas and roses! Paper-white hydrangeas are especially amazing.

^ Nothing like a bag pipe to herald the arrival of the bride and groom to the reception at the Basking Ridge Country Club.

^ Still smiling! The first dance.

^ Here’s a super fun tradition that Jeanne picked up from her time in New Orleans: The wedding cake Ribbon Pull. At the end of each ribbon is a small trinket/charm that symbolizes a special wish or trait for the gal who pulled it out.

^ Bring on the charms!

^ I love this one … holding cards that tell more of the story behind their trinkets.

Jeanne and Neil, you planned a perfectly unique wedding! It was beautiful.

Jana & Joel - Married!

Jana and Joel were married this past Friday at the One &Only Westmount Country Club. What an amazingly beautiful day; a cool 75 degrees just before the heat wave later in the weekend. Jana’s choices of colors and flowers were incredible, and the Westmount proved to be the perfect venue for a flawless celebration.

Enjoy this preview of some photos that caught my eye!

^ As I said … incredible colors!

^ I love tiaras! Every bride deserves to be a princess on her wedding day.

^ Nothing beats the look of true love on a groom’s face.
